requirements in the State Health Code, pages 29–33.

1. This department is open to all. Poultry exhibits include chickens, turkeys, game birds and bantam water fowl.
2. Entry forms must be mailed to the Committee at the above address prior to opening day, along with an entry fee of 50 cents per bird
3. The Committee will receive exhibits from 12:00 noon on Friday.  All exhibits must be caged by 10:pm.
4. Judging: Bantams will be judged by A.B.A. Rules.
Standard and Waterfowl by A.P.A. Rules.
Single specimens only: cock—hen—cockerel—pullet.
5. Only healthy birds may be shown. The Haddam Neck Fair adheres closely to the Connecticut State Animal Health Requirements - see pages 29–33. Please review the poultry section as we will abide by these requirements.
6. Entries positively close one week before the fair. No entries will be accepted at the Fair.
7. While we work to avoid difficulties with entries, The Fair Association will not be responsible for any accident, mistake or loss or damage from any cause whatsoever.
8. Junior and Senior Divisions are based on 12 years of age as of January 1st. Please designate Senior or Junior on the entry blank. The same prize money and ribbons will be awarded in each division.
9. Up to forty birds are allowed per family or club, but no more than two production birds are allowed per exhibitor (Sexlink, broiler cross or capons).

Best and Reserve Rosettes will be awarded in both Jr. and Sr. Divisions for the following classes:
  Bantam Chicken
  Large Fowl
  Waterfowl

Junior Poultry Showmanship

 Novice Junior 7 to 12 years of age – First time showing
 Novice Senior 13 to 19 years of age – First time showing
 Junior – experienced
 Senior – experienced

All poultry show and livestock requirements apply for showmanship classes.
Only birds that are exhibited for the duration of the fair may be used in showmanship classes. Birds must be at least 5 months old and owned by the exhibitor.
