Booth exhibits should be of an educational nature on an agricultural or country living theme, illustrating a procedure or work practice. Information should be conveyed through signs, photographs, and props. Space may be limited, so please enter early to ensure a spot.
Booth exhibits are part of a tradition of sharing of information on how to improve our quality of life. In addition to traditional themes, judges are particularly interested this year in exhibits showing conservation practices, renewable energy, sustainable living, organic gardening or recycling. Go Green!
Physical dimensions are 5 ft long by 2.5 ft deep, with trifold sides. The back and sides are 3 ft high.
Factors to be considered by the judges will be:
1 Educational Value 40%
The expression of one main idea expressed clearly, encouraging the viewer to act because the booth teaches something.
2. Interest and Originality 25%
The use of a catchy title to an idea presented in an interesting way, with everything supporting that central idea in such a way as to catch and hold the viewer’s attention.
3. Appearance and Attractiveness: 30%
Neat, well-balanced arrangements using attractive color combinations with easily-read lettering in a well proportioned display against an appropriate background.
4. Further Information 5%
The availability of hand-outs or addresses where the viewer can get additional information.
